How to introduce your dog to the crate

Your dog needs time and positive experiences to accept a new crate as a safe haven. First, let him explore the crate freely in your presence, without pressure or stress. Place a familiar bed, blanket or his favorite toy inside. Encourage any signs of interest with petting, praise or a treat.
